It’s been longer than I’d like since I last posted here. And aside from leaving my blogging itch unscratched, it’s left a gap in my in-game activities log.
I’m rectifying that now, because I recently roleplayed a Star Wars character, and it was a fun experiment.
Previously, I wrote about starting Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) again as a Sith Warrior. But soon after that post, I abandoned her for the same reason as my Sith Inquisitor: The game’s Imperial characters are despicable. Both Sith and Imperial military are these comically-evil, machiavellian colonialist types. And all with snooty British accents to boot. Faff off.
Desiring more palatable characters, I opted to play a Republic Jedi Sage. And like before, I took some time to craft a backstory for her. SWTOR and I must’ve been in sync, because upon entering the character creation menu, the game generated a character appearance very close to what I’d envisioned: A meek but powerful young woman with steely eyes. I made some tweaks, and we were off to the races.
